There is more to pharmacology than just research

Dr. Finch highlighted that a career in pharmacology is not merely about research. Her classmates' careers range from working in government regulatory affairs to publishing, and informing doctors about the new drugs available. After finishing a Bachelor of Science, there are a multitude of opportunities for pharmacologists, including research, communications, and administration. There are also many opportunities to travel around the world. Choosing a career in science is not a self- imposed punishment of social degradation. Dr. Finch exemplifies this. She still enjoys playing soccer, snorkelling, going out for a drink with friends and having time to herself to read and work in her garden. On top of all this, she gets to play with DNA.
