A tick for lunch

Serious science takes place at the Electron Microscope Unit at UNSW, but Warren McKenzie, PhD, showed me some of the more interesting things scientists get up to on their lunch break. Warren explained; “with electron microscopes, it's like throwing peas at a wall, but with an ion microscope, it's more like hurling bricks at wall.”
