School at the Zoo By Ellen Couchman

Day at the Zoo

Rod is a teacher at Taronga Zoo. It is a job full of surprises.

On his first day, he was shown around the zoo. He stopped in the bird exhibit. He observed a young Budgie eating seed from the feeder. It flew up to a perch and regurgitated the food to an elderly Budgie that could no longer fly.

Amazing behaviour like this occurs everyday at the Zoo and Rod never tires of it.
