Day in Science
Every morning, Andrea reads new scientific journals. “The most important one,” he says, is"Nature",which he reads every Wednesday. Reading helps him keep up to date with research around the world. Later on, he works in the lab conducting some experiments and holding a consultation session with his Honours students.
After lunch, he designed a new circuit on his computer. The circuit is incredibly small. Some of the components are only 30nm across (less than the size of a dot on this screen).
He spent the rest of the day learning how to use anatomic force microscope. This microscope allows the viewer to ‘see’ details that are thousands of times smaller than is physically possible to see with a regular microscope.
