Walking along the third floor corridor of the Biological Science Building at UNSW, I finally reach Room301A where scientist Heather-Marie Ann Schmidt works. Heather is doing a PhD inmedical microbiologyand is currently in her final year.

She shares an office, which is connected to her laboratory, with six other scientists. She is always first in her office and always the last one to leave: this is just one example of how much she loves her work.
