The Road to Psychology

When she was in high school she wasn't interested in science. Instead, Michelle wanted to study journalism and communications. Uncertain, she decided to do an Arts degree at Sydney University. She enjoyed psychology so much that she completed an Honours and a Masters inclinical psychology,graduating in 1997.

She worked as a clinical psychologist at thePost Traumatic Stress DisorderUnit at Westmead Hospital until 2002. The job ignited an intense interest in research. She decided to do a PhD specialising in trauma whilst she worked in the clinic.
